Entrance-channel mass-asymmetry dependence of compound nucleus formation time in light heavy-ion reactions.

چکیده
The entrance-channel mass-asymmetry dependence of the compound nucleus formation time in light heavyion reactions has been investigated within the framework of semiclassical dissipative collision models. The model calculations have been applied successfully to the formation of the Ar compound nucleus as populated via the Be1 Si, B1 Al, C1 Mg, and F1 F entrance channels. The shape evolution of several other light composite systems appears to be consistent with the so-called ‘‘Fusion Inhibition Factor’’ which has been observed experimentally. As found previously in more massive systems for the fusion-evaporation process, the entrance-channel mass-asymmetry degree of freedom appears to determine the competition between the different mechanisms as well as the time scales involved. @S0556-2813~96!03812-5#

متن کاملEntrance channel dependence in compound nuclear reactions with loosely bound nuclei
The measurement of light charged particles evaporated from the reaction Li + Li has been carried out at extreme backward angle in the energy range 14 20 MeV. Calculations from the code ALICE91 show that the symmetry of the target-projectile combination and the choice of level density parameter play important roles in explaining the evaporation spectra for these light particle systems. In above ...
متن کاملSystematics of fragment observables
Multifragmentation is observed in many reaction types: light ion induced reactions at large incident energies (in the GeV region), central heavy ion collisions from 30 to 100 MeV/u, and peripheral heavy ion collisions between 30 and 1000 MeV/u or above. When nucleus-nucleus collisions are considered, another entrance channel parameter is the corresponding mass asymmetry. The first question whic...

The synthesis of superheavy elements is analysed within the dinuclear system concept of compound nucleus formation. The perspectives for using radioactive beams in complete fusion reactions are discussed. The existing fusion models are distinguished by the choice of the relevant collective degree of freedom which is mainly responsible for the complete fusion. For example, many models assume a m...

The multiplicities of p and a particles detected in coincidence with fragments emitted in fully relaxed collisions in the reactions of 18.5A MeV "Xe+ 'Ti have been measured for different exit channel mass asyrnrnetries. A kinematic source analysis of the spectra and angular distributions of the light particles has been used to separate the total multiplicities into prescission and postscission ...
